Is the SkyLance M400 SORA compliant?
SORA compliance applies to an operation, not to a product — authorisations are issued to the operator by the national aviation authority. The SkyLance M400 is designed to support that process: the supplied hose-retention lanyard, the pressure-loss shutdown available when operating with a WasherDrone ground pump unit, and the payload-bounded limits on reachable volume are documented measures an operator can reference in a Specific-category submission. Supporting documentation is available on request.
What happens if the supply hose fails in flight?
Two independent measures act. A steel wire-rope lanyard supplied with the kit retains the SkyHose on the aircraft so that it does not fall. Separately, when the system is operated with a WasherDrone ground pump unit, a pressure switch detects the loss of line pressure and stops the pump, ending water delivery.
